Plot

Mia’s father passes away; She goes to his house to clear away his things and invites Jane to help her.

Mia’s father lived in a commuter village in a home county. During the day they pack boxes in the house and have lunch. Jane helps Mia through this difficult time. On the radio you can hear a report about a mutated virus however this news report is cut short when Jane changes the channel to current pop music. In the evening the two girls are sat on the sofa watching a film with a bowl of popcorn and drinks.

The power suddenly goes off. Mia looks for a torch and goes to the fuse box. She flips the switch and the lights come back on. Jane screams, Mia goes to see what is wrong. There is a bloody handprint on the window. They look out the window to see a body lying on the ground and someone leant over the body. The pair looks closer and realize that the body is being eaten. The girls scream, alerting the feeding zombie. The zombie head towards the house, the Jane tries to lock the door but the zombie enters the house, the pair freak out in the kitchen until Mia kills the zombie with a kitchen knife. They lock up the house and go to call the police however Jane notices that the person who was being eaten started to move, about to unlock the door to go help them until they realise that the body is coming back to life and is heading towards the house. Jane barricades the doors and the pair fall asleep on the sofa, Mia holding a knife and Jane holding a cricket bat. 

They girls don’t feel safe in the house as zombies are smashing the French door trying to infiltrate the house. The girls leave the house but are meet by zombies and flee into the woods. After escaping a wave of zombies the girls check their phones but cannot get a signal. The walk through the woods and complain about being hungry.

After a while of walking the pair encounter two men in the woods. The men are unharmed and carrying rucksacks. The men scare Jane and Mia at first but they offer the girls some food. The girls accept the food and sit and talk to the men. One of the men tells the girls that they are heading to a church; lots of the locals are there with food and weapons. The other male, Ben, offers the girls to join them. As Ben and Richard pack away their things, about to set off with the girls the group is ambushed by zombies. Ben is killed.  As the group are about to run away Jane goes back to collect Ben’s bag.

The group run away and kills some zombies on the way. Richard directs the group towards the church. Once the group has lost the zombies Mia notices that Jane is acting strange. Jane confesses to being bitten. Richard attempts to kill Jane but Mia stops him. Jane quickly becomes to ill to run away. Zombies are approaching from multiple directions. Jane tells Mia to leave her and that she will not hold it against her. Mia holds Jane’s hand saying that she cannot leave her. Jane’s eyes close and life fades away. Richard grabs Mia’s hand and says “it’s time to go”.  Mia looks back to see that Jane has turned into a zombie and is beginning to stand up.

The camera follows Mia and Richard fleeing from the zombies, they run down a little path. Up ahead they see the sign to the church. Richard says “not far now”.  Zombies appear at the top of the path, Richard kills them. They continue running to the church. Survivors greet them. All the survivors sit down and discuss what to do next. Mia turns to Richard and asks “we are going to be ok, right?”
